Heat Mats for Reptile Vivariums. Heat mats produce ultra long wavelength infrared heat, with the rays heating objects they strike but retaining a lower air temperature.
Wide Use. The Inkbird temperature controller is good for homebrewing, reptile vivarium, aquarium, pet breeding, incubation, seedling heat mats, greenhouse heater etc.
Ideally, a heat mat controlled by a reputable mat-stat thermostat is recommended, turning the matt on and off to maintain an even temperature. A sand substrate is recommended as a barrier so your reptile doesn't burn itself, or you can place the matt on the side of the vivarium too...

I used a Lucky Reptile mat on the underside of the box for her hot basking area. This was controlled via a Microclimate Evo Lite thermostat. But for a heat-mat, any mat-stat will be sufficient. But it is vital (more on this later).
